Pikes Peak Colorado Alt. 14,110 Ft. Discovered by Lt. Zebulon M. Pike in 1806, this most famous peak in the Rocky mountains is located in the Front Range, 64 miles south of Denver. The summit, at 14,110 feet may be reached by a well maintained auto highway or cog train, where visitors may find food and refreshment as well as souvenirs and giftware to commemorate their accent.
