Located in the foothills of the Guadalupe mountains of New Mexico, the caverns are world renowned for their spacious rooms and passages, as well as the number, size and variety of stalagtites and stalagmites. Tours are conducted along the three mile paved trail daily. The caverns temperature remains constant at 56 degrees. One of the park's greatest attractions is the bat flight in which incredible numbers of bats fly out in the evening, returning at dawn to their caves. This occurs each day from April through October.
