Fantastic 1920s hand sewn throw pillow case with zipper closure.
Features two Egyptian figures, one appears to be an Egyptian god, perhaps Horus, and the other a pharaoh.
Has wonderful Egyptian symbolism and detail.
Very earthy colors of tan, brown, black, olive green and gray blue.
For it's age it is decent condition, that being said it does have some worn spots and some of the edges are frayed and split.
We would be more inclined to frame it and use it as a wall piece as opposed to its intended purpose. It would be fine as a display pillow though.
These pieces were typically made for the tourist trade when Egypt became the travel rage for Europe & the U.S.
Measures 17" square.
Please see photos for details.
