This mid-century beauty is built of slash cut glass beads.
Glossy black beads are interspersed among the white
to create a lot of visual movement and impact.
The strands are gathered into two groups,
one with 5 strand, one group with 6.
The groups are gathered into filigreed caps
connected to two faux oval opal carbochons
and closed with a simple hook.
They drape beautifully in a gentle "swoop".
While the beads are glossy and look brand new
the metal has patinated, making
an interesting contrast.
This is a vintage piece, created in the fifties.
